Buck O'Neil
I know nothing about baseball. I was happy that Washington got a team even though I was kind of sour because I thought that the team should come to Virginia instead.Nonetheless, this past week, I have been following the story of Buck O'Neil. I'm saddened to the fact that he hasn't been inducted to the Hall of Fame. Like I said, I don't know a lot about baseball so I don't know why he was not inducted.
When he spoke this past week, I was completely overwhelmed by his gracious attitude about the whole situation. He came across as noble and modest. He was confident in his accomplishments and by no means was he downplaying them. At the same time, he took the whole business of being overlooked in stride and I don't think a man can be any bigger than that. What surprised me even more was when he said that he wanted to speak at the inductee ceremony.
I found this article to be very interesting.

I have started a blog in hopes of convincing Bud Selig to put Buck O'Neil in the Hall.
